- Backup data and save your work before shutting down your computer.
- Unplug the power adapter and all cables from the laptop.
- Use an ESD-safe workspace to prevent static damage to the components.
- Pry off the screen bezel: Use a thin plastic opening tool or metal spudger to carefully pry the plastic bezel away from the edges of the screen.
- Separate the screen: Once the bezel is removed, the LCD panel will be exposed.
- Disconnect the cables: Gently pull the screen away from the lid, laying it face down on the keyboard.
- Remove the adhesive tape: Use tweezers to peel back any tape securing the display connector.
- Lift the locking bracket: Gently lift the small locking bracket on the video cable connector to release the cable.
- Unplug the cables: Disconnect the video cable and any other attached cables.

- Connect the new screen: Reconnect the video and digitizer cables to the new display assembly. Gently press down on the locking bracket to secure the cable.
- Position the new screen inside the display lid.
- Before reassembly, test the new screen to ensure it is working correctly. Power on the laptop to check the display and touch functionality.
